HSE statistics show that Asbestos still kills around 5000 workers each year, around 20 tradesmen die each week as a result of past exposure to Asbestos.  Asbestos is still a problem today – it can be present in buildings constructed or refurbished up to the year 2000 (houses, factories, offices, schools, hospitals etc.) so it is vital that you take the correct precautions to protect yourself.
